Marine Mammal Pavilion We believe that visitors become more fully engaged in an exhibit when they are given authentic roles to play. In a presidential library museum, this could mean listening closely to candidates as a member of the electorate; in an exhibit on the physics of space travel, it could mean playing the role of a scientist by conducting simple action-reaction experiments. Whatever the role, it is critical that visitors have a clear understanding of what is expected of them and be given all the tools they need to succeed. A real whale named Scylla was the model for the life-sized replica shown above and appears in several of the pavilion's popular hands-on activities. More about Marine Mammal Pavilion
